Bug Description

Release: Jaunty 09.04

xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.6.3-0ubuntu9

bob@gecko2:~$ uname -a
Linux gecko2 2.6.28-11-generic #42-Ubuntu SMP Fri Apr 17 01:57:59 UTC 2009 i686GNU/Linux

I restarted xserver-xorg-video-intel and got a kernel oops. The X server appeared to start and run OK. I am not sure whether to report this to the kernel guys on the guys who look after the Intel X-server.

I have UXA acceleration enabled. I will post my xorg.conf.

Normally the X server starts without an oops. On this occasion I performed a restart to clear the swap space leak that appears to be caused by xserver-xorg-video-intel. Looks like a GEM bug perhaps ...

Hi Bob,

This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from .

If it remains an issue, could you run the following command from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal). It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report.

apport-collect -p linux 372473

Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results.

Thanks in advance.
