Bug Description

I'm not entirely sure what the oops did, as I'm by no means familiar with the kernel. First time this has happened, but since apport prompted me for a report I sent it through. If any further info is needed, I'll be glad to help and I will be keeping any eye out for any more problems along these lines.

I'm getting this every time I reboot now. When I shutdown or restart the computer makes a few system beeps (from the internal speaker) in quick succession. This definitely has something to do with what's going on at shutdown. I would love to be of more help with this, if only I knew what was needed!

As per another bug which dealt with kernel oopses, I installed linux-backports-modules-jaunty and it went away.

Changed in linux (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid

Got same message as the first thread about something wrong with the kernel, saying my system might be unstable. Not sure why, maybe because I just pulled the usb external hdd drive without unmounting first. I am running ubuntu 10.4 beta.
