Wiped and installed brand-new 8.10 jaunty on this laptop, everything worked great first time without issue, recognized and able to use wireless network card out of the box with no problems.
Did upgrade to 9.04 yesterday, now my wireless card doesn't even get power.

UPDATE: AFTER reading the following link:

I went to System->Administration->Hardware Drivers, and manually Deactivated and then Activated the Broadcom STA wireless driver.
Wireless card started working again, and I now have wireless network connectivity.
HOWEVER, an attempt to suspend the system caused the original problem to come back, and Deactivating/re-Activating the driver did NOT fix it.
After a reboot, I did NOT have to Deactivate/re-Activate, after system restart network card was working OK.
But after any attempt to Suspend, the Suspend fails (I think this is a known issue), and the card is deactivated, but even an attempt to Deactivate/re-Activate fails to bring card back online. Only after a reboot does it come back.
