Bug Description

Tablet doesn't go to sleep during suspend and therefore resume doesn't work properly.
After starting the resume process the computer is still active and can only be woken up by pressing ctrl + alt + f1. It also failed suspend_test --full.
Before updating the system to Jaunty Jackalope Beta both suspend and hibernate worked fine, but I couldn't get it working since then.

ProblemType: KernelOops
Annotation: This occured during a previous suspend and prevented it from resuming properly. The resume processing hung very near the end and will have appeared to have completed normally.

I seem to have the same problem with my Portege m200 with the exception that I never had it working under my previous installation (Gutsy), only knew that others managed to fix suspend on the m200.

I have an identical M200, running 2.2.28-15 and the laptop suspends and resumes fine. Not sure where this bug was fixed, but it's working now.

Also on m200, I had suspend working fine in 8.04. I cannot get it to work on 9.04 or now on 9.10. I get an endlessly looping error from CIFS, then have to ctl-alt-del to exit and restart, then get late resume failure
