Based on the following in your DpkgTerminalLog this looks to be a duplicate of bug 292159 so I am marking it as such:

update-initramfs is disabled since running on a live CD

Failed to symbolic-link /boot/initrd.img-2.6.27-11-generic to initrd.img.

bug 292159 should be resolved as of casper 1.162, please be sure to update. Thanks.
