Bug Description

Hello!
I'm trying to use Ubuntu on my notebook HP nx9005 but when I boot it shows a black page and I can't run and install it!
I tried with earlier version, kubuntu and alternative cd too...nothing...

As this user said (italian) it may be a problem with the "DDC":
http://www.giovy.it/2009/04/06/problem-solving-su-installazione-ubuntu-810-intrepid-ibex/#IDComment18289232

It's an hardware problem (I've an old Radeon IGP 320M)...

I'm not the only one:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/11941

How can I get Ubuntu working?
I've tried both safe graphic mode and "linux acpi=off no lapic" but it freeze anyway!! :(

+ Ubuntu freeze on boot, hardware incompatibility (HP Compaq nx9005)
Changed in ubuntu:
status: New → Confirmed

UPDATE:
I burned a 7.04 cd and I tried to run from it...

Instead of displaying a black page or the desktop (without icons, so it's useless), 7.04 displayed a box that said something like "X Server cannot start"...

I attach here some screenshots (running 7.04) to help you to understand what's happening...

Uhm... no.. those errors regard wireless... they're not relevant for the error above..
