Bug Description
Binary package hint: network-manager
When testing a Jaunty beta install (from USB thumb drive) on a Toshiba Satellite L40-14N laptop, wifi didn't work. The AP is found, and after selecting it, one of the two green dots appeared in nm-applet, and I was asked for password (network has WPA and WPA2 I think), but got no connection then. I'm sure the password was entered correctly.
The laptop has a Realtek RTL-8187b chip (vendor ID: 0x0bda, product ID: 0x8197) which works with ndiswrapper under Hardy and with some native driver out-of-the-box under Intrepid Live CD.
