well, I must say that this update was in intrepid-proposed and not in intrepid-main. It means that this kind of update was received only if you decided to turn on the "proposed" repository, wich is a repository of new software that should be ok but is still on testing. If you turn on this repository, you agree to test software for ubuntu.

Be coscient of what you do when you turn on a repository! It may break down your computer. Be aware also of other unknown repository: if you don't trust him you can never know what is going to install on your pc!
