Bug Description

On Kubuntu Jaunty x64, sometimes when I shut down or reboot my computer, the wireless driver crashes and produces a crash dump on the console. Then, the shutdown process stalls and it becomes necessary to press the power button for more than 5 seconds or do a Ctrl+Alt+Del. I have two network cards in my system, an Intel Wifi 3945 (iwl3945) and a Broadcom 4401 (b44) wired chipset. The crash has occured with either, both, or neither of the cards connected. The crash dump it produces is longer than will fit on the default text console, but I will take a digital photo of the dump the next time it occurs.

I have discovered that using the linux-backports-modules package fixes this problem, indicating that it probably is in the iwl3945/iwlagn driver.
