Bug Description

When I ran the update manager it gave me this error after trying to install the updates:
"package linux-image-2.6.27-11-generic 2.6.27-11.26 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 17".

I've attached a screenshot of the error message inside the update manager window.

I then ran the update manager again, and it failed with the same error message again. Please help.

Thanks,
-Jonathan

I've had an exit error of 17 (what does this mean?) twice, once on this kernel, and once before on 2.6.27-7.

In both cases its running Ubuntu Ibex (8.10) amd64 on a live USB.

non-free: ATI/AMD proprietary FGLRX graphics driver, which was in the state between being activated and being active (ie before the restart once its been enabled)

This looks to be a duplicate of bug 292159 so I am marking it as such. Please note tha bug 292159 was recently marked Fix Released a few days ago. Thanks.
