Suspend causes hang on 2.6.27-11

I upgraded from 2.6.27-9 to 2.6.27-11 and now when I go to suspend my laptop (Dell Latitude D420) everything looks like it works (ie. X shuts down) until it gets to the virtual console where it just hangs and doesn't complete the suspension. No input devices work, so I have to restart the machine with a hard/power reset.

If I boot up kernel 2.6.27-9, suspend and resume works normally, so I suspect there is some sort of regression between the two kernel versions. I checked /var/lib/pm-suspend.log, but it doesn't offer any clues.

Also just adding a note that bug 322886 is likely a duplicate and experiencing the same regression with just slightly different hardware.

For the 2.6.27-11 kernel can you also tell us the specific -11 kernel version you are using. This can be found by loooking at the output of 'cat /proc/version_signature'. Thanks.

We're actually now seeing a few reports of suspend/resume regressions after the 2.6.27-11 update. I'm going to go ahead and mark this as a duplicate of bug 322886 and we'll continue to use that report as the master bug for this regression. Thanks.
