Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.27-11-generic

Brightness control doesn't work with linux-image-2.6.27-11-generic. The indicator shows up when using the hot keys, but the brightness itself doesn't actually change as indicated by the on-screen indicator.

Booting linux-image-2.6.27-9-generic solves the problem.

I have only tested this on Lenovo ThinkPad X60.

I can confirm this problem with a X61S and using linux-image-2.6.27-9-generic is an efficient workaround.
