Bug Description

I am using a Dell XPS M1530 with an Intel Wireless 3945abg wireless network adapter, with the appropriate driver. Most of the times the wireless system fails to work in Ubuntu, except when i "warm up" the wireless adapter by use ( either through vista or by using Dell's wifi finder.

the error that appears in /var/log/messages is

Error: saturation power is, less than minimum expected 40

apparently it is some sort of problem with the driver interfacing with the eeprom values in the network card.

Can you comment with release of Ubuntu you are using? Is it the most recent Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release? Also, Per the kernel team's bug policy, can you please attach the following information. Please be sure to attach each file as a separate attachment.

* cat /proc/version_signature > version.log
* dmesg > dmesg.log
* sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log

It would also be best if the dmesg out capture and attach contains the error messages you are seeing. For more information regarding the kernel team bug policy, please refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeamBugPolicies . Thanks again and we appreciate your help and feedback.
