Whenever I insert a disc in the drive of my laptop (Asus M51Va-AP063C, Drive: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T50N rev. RR04 on ICH9M controller and ahci module), it gets stuck after spinning up and it doesn't let me eject the disc or read anything from it. To get it working again after it I need to power off the pc, wait for the disc to spin down and turn it on again.
This affects:
Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex, Ubuntu 2.6.27-10.20-generic)

I forgot to mention that this drive works on other computers, a TSSTcorp TS-L633A works in this computer and the bug does not show up on Microsoft Windows Vista or setting the ICH9M SATA Controller in IDE compatibility mode. This bug shows up on all non microsoft and non EBIOS using OSes. |
