I too confirm that this is a problem. The video output is corrupted I get allot of green and static.

My web cam used to work fine in 8.04 but in 8.10 it stops working correctly. The only program capable of displaying video correctly is cheese. Skype, ekiga, vlc, etc... gives me garbage.

I think this has to do with the gspca kernel module because I have a chicony webcam with the same problem. The device id: 093a:2624 Pixart Imaging.
