Bug Description
I tried to install my multifunctional printer on Linux, but there isn't any compatible driver for it.
So I searched the net and found, that PIXMA MP110 is almost compatible with the iP1500 driver.
However, neither this driver is listed in the Ubuntu printers driver list.
I found some .deb packages (converted from .rpms), that would work as iP1500 drivers.
I installed them through dpkg, with the `--force-all` parameter and restarted cupsd.
Now, I can see the iP1500 driver in the driver list, but after chosing this one as my MP110 printer's driver, I can create print jobs, but my printer seems to not react (printer does nothing and no action occurs on the printer's display).
I'll attach the two .deb packages, I installed.
I use Ubuntu Intrepid.

Finally, I solved this problem myself.
I found another driver on: http:// www.drivehq. com/file/ df.aspx/ publish/ laosboyme/ PublicFolder/ IP-PixmaDriver. tar.gz
It is a PIXMA MP1000 driver, but it works great with my PIXMA MP110.
I had to install it by dpkg using --force-all, becouse those packages, listed in the archive, are build for the i386 architecture (I have AMD64) and packages listed in dependencies (libxml1, libglib1.2) are too old, but the driver works excellent with the newest ones installed (libxml2, libglib2.0-0).
I'd just like to know, if there is a way to add this driver to the default Ubuntu printer drivers list.
Thanks a lot.
