VIA VT6102 Rhine II ethernet driver crashes after suspending

Bug Description
System is acer aspire 1359 laptop (from around year 2000).
Athlon XP cpu
VIA KM400 motherboard
I'm using the latest 8.10 RC version
kernel version is 2.6.27.7.11
Crash happens after I wake up system from suspend state. Wired network stops working complitely but everything else in system works without problems (including onboard wireless RTL818x card)
steps to reproduce:
1. suspend the system
2. wake up
3. try to reconnect to wired network

Hi Pauli,
Just curious what happens if you try to unload and then reload the via-rhine module. Maybe try a few scenarios:
1) suspend, resume, sudo rmmod via-rhine, sudo modprobe via-rhine
2) sudo rmmod via-rhine, suspend, resume, sudo modprobe via-rhine
