CNF7129 Webcam Malfunctioning

Asus EeePC 1000. Clean install of Ubuntu 8.10 Beta. CNF7129 camera not detected by Camorama. CNF7129 camera works for photos but not video with Cheese. Video in Cheese just creates an empty ogf file.

Hi Robert, Please be sure to attach these files individually to the bug report

      uname -a > uname-a.log

      cat /proc/version_signature > proc_version_signature.log

      sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log (those are 2 v's not a w)

      dmesg > dmesg.log

      lsusb > lsusb.log

Also is it possible to check if this bug is the same as bug #289242

Actually, it started working again when I loaded the final disto of Ubuntu
8.10! Its magic!
