After more testing I found that the problem relate to the usbcore module, because it seems that the pvrusb2 module somehow breaks the usbcore module and all usb connect/disconnect stops, when I connect the pvrusb2 device to the USB port. I have a USB keyboard and mouse, which still works as long as I don't disconnect it Also note that if I have the pvrusb2 device connected at boot, the boot hangs at "Starting bluetooth", but maybe it's the usbcore module which freezes the boot. Alt-Ctrl-Delete will restart the computer, but it's not possible to boot and get the login prompt.
I am having the same problem. You should be able to hit CTRL-ALT-F2 to get to a login prompt, then issue "sudo pkill bluetooth" to continue normal booting. You still won't be able to use any new USB devices or the TV card but you can get to the graphical interface / cli to debug more.
