Intel 4965 causes kernel panic

Bug Description

I'm testing Intrepid Alpha 5 with updated applied as of 9/17/08. Connection Info dialog shows the driver as "iwlagn".

When wifi is on the kernel panic happens within minutes. If I turn wifi off and use ethernet, there is no panic. This occurs with the Intel 4965 wifi and a N router. Swapping the wifi to an Intel 3945 eliminates the panic.

Next time it panics I'll take a picture of the stack trace.

I will test with the newly released Alpha 6 and report any improvements.

There's some more details. Unfortunately the crash isn't showing in /var/log/kern.log.0, so a photo is all I've got for now.

Earl would you please advise if this is still occuring on Intrepid's latest 2.6.27-4 kernel, thanks.

I'm currently running kernel 2.6.27-4-generic updated as of 09/29/08 with the intel iwlagn driver. I'm also using an intel 4965 N card connected to a D-link N router I'm not sure if this is the identical problem, but I've been experiencing hard lockups on my computer since installing Ibex Alpha 6. The problem has not happened while hardwired with wireless disabled. I have not tested with an intel 3945 card at this point.

I've attached the requested logs, although as Earl said the crash isn't showing in /var/log/kern.log. The last lockup occured at approximately Sep 29 23:04:00 in the logs.

Would a tester with this hardware please re-test under the latest Intrepid kernel being revision 2.6.27-7.11, thanks.

It seems to occur less often now, but it still panics. Panic report jpg attached.
