It's not clear from your response. If you still have this issue, then please provide the information I requested earlier. It would be great if you could provide your dmesg and the output of lsusb (as per https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingHardwareDetection) after booting with the mouse connected, and then provide the same information again after disconnecting and reconnecting the mouse.
