Does the mouse still not work if you have it connected when you boot your machine (do you still have to disconnect and reconnect it), or is this fixed? It's not clear from your response.
If you still have this issue, then please provide the information I requested earlier. It would be great if you could provide your dmesg and the output of lsusb (as per https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingHardwareDetection) after booting with the mouse connected, and then provide the same information again after disconnecting and reconnecting the mouse.
