The Intrepid Ibex 8.10 Beta release was most recently announced - http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/intrepid/beta . It contains the 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel. It would be great if you could test and verify if this is still an issue. The status is being set to Incomplete until we receive further feedback. Thanks. |

There is no reason to believe this is fixed in 2.6.27. There is nothing in the changelog about it, in fact, there is every indication that this is just behaving as designed but doesn't account for the use case of apport.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Ensure that apport is enabled
2. Start up a nice big firefox process with lots of tabs
3. kill it with SIGSEGV
