description |
In Xubuntu 8.04.1 my system keeps completely freezing, apparently randomly, leaving apparently no information except a message like the following in the syslog:
Jul 25 23:44:21 blackbox kernel: [ 1566.411452] Eeek! page_mapcount(page) went negative! (-1)
I am running a Pentium 4 HT on an Asus P4P800 Deluxe motherboard with an ATI Radeon 9500 AGP graphics card and the restricted ATI driver installed via Envy_NG. I have 3 IDE drives (two attached via the main IDE controllers and one on the VIA VT1640 controller) and an eSATA drive (on one of the onboard SATA controllers), with a mixture of software RAID1 and RAID5 and non-RAID EXT3 and NTFS partitions.
I will attach some logs. If anyone needs more information please let me know. |
