when I choose shutdown -> Hibernate I end up with a black screen,
one line: (I think those first numbers are somewhat random)
[ 891.422207][fglrx:KCL_enable_pat] *ERROR* Pat entry 2 is already configured
then after some 10 seconds the machine reboots (without shutting down properly).
The previous desktop session gets lost.
I'm using an Acer TM8106wlmi but according to the only thread on the topic I could find
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=5019757
there might also someone with a Thinkpad T42p and Dell Inspiron E1505 be affected.
I'm attaching dmesg output (from after restart) and will provide you with any addidional information - if you tell me what you need.
Right now I'm using the latest drivers from Ati (8.5)
$ fglrxinfo
display: :0.0 screen: 0
OpenGL vendor string: ATI Technologies Inc.
OpenGL renderer string: ATI MOBILITY RADEON X700
OpenGL version string: 2.1.7537 Release
but the same problem occurs with the drivers from the repositories as well (also did with the version before). |
