Bug Description
my Apple USB ethernet adapter for the Macbook Air is not recognized on hardy,
looking on the net i've found that it uses asix module but need a little patch on asix.c :
http://
i've tried to recompile my kernel but could not succeed, maybe is it possible to make some deb's packages for this module? i'm currently on hardy i386 with kernel 2.6.24-17-generic

Hi all,
There is a workaround that it was success for me even though in other x86 laptops:
Kernel 2.6.24-19-generic, download patched asix driver (http:// web.comhem. se/rydberg/ Bits/patasix19. zip)
* Copy the file named patasix.ko to you linux kernel tree at /lib/modules/ 2.6.24- 19-generic/ kernel/ drivers/ net/usb/
* Run depmod -a as root
* add the modules usbnet and patasix to your /etc/modules, in that order
* reboot

I hope this helps
