I've installed kernel 2.6.27-2 and restricted modules from intrepid repository in my hardy...
It seems it's all ok here you can see my uname -a:

Linux munny-laptop 2.6.27-2-generic #1 SMP Thu Aug 28 17:20:02 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux

The problem with my wireless connection it's the same, also with new kernel my transfer nevers goes over 400 K Byte/S, i tried as usual samba and ftp.

I attach my daemon.log, i hope this can help you.
