8.10 didn't boot the graphical environment at all for me, but that should be a display driver issue or something.

+ + Jaunty 9.04 works like a charm in LiveCD mode, install not tested yet (I'll try that later).

- - USB Install works, but booting from the installed USB does __NOT__! It has the well-known initramfs problem, that's a pity. I'll investigate that (and may even include some dmesg output) later.

My system specs are still unchanged, see one of the upper posts.
