Bug Description
When I hot plug a sandisk media player into ubuntu hardy with latest updates I get the following dmesg:
[ 3179.176331] usb 1-5: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 5
[ 3179.486033] ehci_hcd 0000:00:1d.7: port 5 reset error -110
[ 3179.486165] hub 1-0:1.0: hub_port_status failed (err = -32)
The drive fails to mount, and the media player doesn't charge either.
This problem is absent on Gutsy. I believe this is because usb devices aren't handled by ehci_hcd. Other USB hard drives, mice, and flash drives work fine with Hardy.
I don't know what package this goes with. I'm also not sure what I should add onto this, so I'll shotgun it.

If you plug the usb player in before the computer starts up, it's detected as a scsi device and mounts fine, but opening up rhythmbox dismounts the drive with the same errors above as well as rhythmbox.
