Der Kernel starte nur mit noefi im grub auf dem lenovo thinkpad t430 sonst gibt nur wenn man ohne noefi im grub starte nur lila sreen mit KERNEL PANIC! Please reboot your computer. Fatal exception in interrupt. mit noefi gibt nur eine kurze fehlermeldung mount: mounting efivarfs on /sys/firmware/efi/efivars failed: Operation not supported starte aber normal

Based on your kernel log, I think it's likely that this is a problem in your computer's firmware. You could try updating your BIOS to the latest version, if one is available, but otherwise it might be best to continue booting with noefi or even to use Legacy Boot instead. Failing to mount efivarfs is expected if EFI is disabled.

If you're confident this is an issue in the kernel, you can try to reproduce the issue with the mainline kernel, so we know if the problem is present upstream.

Ich hatte auf dem auch den 6.18 installiert gehabt kurz vor den Bug Report wo ich gemacht hatte und war das selbe wie mit dem 6.17, er geht nur auf dem in legacy modus nur und im uefi modus nur mit grub eintrag noefi nur. hatte den so installiert gehabt: cd /tmp

Thanks for checking mainline, if the problem is still present upstream then it's likely this isn't something we'll be able to resolve here, since we don't have the appropriate engineers or hardware to test with.

You are welcome to report the issue upstream, and I'll try to help point you in the right direction for that, but I also think more testing of your machine may be necessary to confirm that the firmware and system configuration are prepared to support EFI. Have you had success with EFI in other non-Linux OSes?

Hatte bisher eingesetzt nur mit Linux das ohne Probleme hab den erst seit zikra 1 Jahr den mit EFI und ohne EFI mit 6.8 und 6.14 ohne Probleme, das Problem kam erst wo ich geupgradet haette von Ubuntu 24.04 LTS auf Ubuntu 25.10 wo der Kernel 6.17 mit kam, wo ich bootete wieder mit 6.14 keine Probleme mit EFI, hatte dann kurz den 6.18 mir installiert gehabt wie ich schrieb per wget das problem war im efi da gleich. hab 6 Rechner alle keine Probleme davon einer das Lenovo ThinkPad T430 wo problem hat seit dem, die andern teils nur BIOS teils mit UEFI keine Probleme. Mit einem nicht Linux Betriebssystem hatte ich auf dem Laptop noch nicht drauf gehabt. Mit dem 6.19 werde ich noch probieren auf dem hatte ich noch kann das leider erst morgen machen. Guten Tag, der Kernel 6.19.0-061900rc5-generic, hat auf dem Lenovi Thinkpad t430 leider das selbe Problem, im legacy BIOS geht der, im UEFi Modus ohne Noefi gibt wieder die selbe meldung mit kernel panic, im noefi gehts. hatte den ubuntu mainline kernel genutzt von iherer ersten Anwort wo der link ist. Hallo, hab mir den 6.19-rc5, bei Kernel.org mir geholt und mir gemacht per GitClone und erstellt mir, der laeuft bei mir ohne Probleme mit bios und mit uefi.
