Bug Description

When I was trying to reboot my Wi-Fi based on iwlwifi.
I tried "sudo modprobe -r iwlwifi" it removes iwlwifi but when I tried to restore iwlwifi with this command "sudo modprobe iwlwifi" it didn't boot up iwlwifi but restart a computer re-enables it back on.

Back in Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, "sudo modprobe -r iwlwifi" to remove iwlwifi and "sudo modprobe iwlwifi" to restore iwlwifi works just fine, no restart a computer needed.

Since I've upgraded to 24.10 on beta, there's something wrong with an Intel Wi-Fi driver version 7265.

I'll be appreciate for that bug is fixed.
Please make sure it's fixed before Ubuntu 24.10 is released officially.

Tons of these in the kernel log:

[ 2545.081531] pcieport 0000:00:1d.0: AER: Multiple Correctable error message received from 0000:01:00.0
[ 2545.081562] iwlwifi 0000:01:00.0: PCIe Bus Error: severity=Correctable, type=Physical Layer, (Receiver ID)

[ 2545.081569] iwlwifi 0000:01:00.0: [ 6] BadTLP

Could be bad HW, could be a kernel problem. Can you boot 6.8 and check if you still see the errors?

Hello, I've been checking on Linux Kernel 6.8 on Ubuntu 24.10, I can reboot my PCI Wi-Fi just fine without reboot my device every time with these two commands "sudo modprobe -r iwlwifi" to remove iwlwifi and "sudo modprobe iwlwifi" to restore iwlwifi works just fine, no restart a computer needed.
