Bug Description

From our observation this issue is specific to certain server platform on which we found 6.8.0-35/36 exhibits the same failure symptom, seems like 6.8.0-39 works. On other server platforms 6.8.0-35/36/39 all boot up fine.
We'd like to understand the root cause so we can know if the problem lies in specific server platform or in 6.8.0-35/36 kernel.
Please refer to the screenshot for the exact screen where the system gets stuck indefinitely.

It should contain all of the changes in the different kernel versions.
