Bug Description

Until ca 1-2 months all machines works fine with Linux Mint Kernels. The problems beginns later as 107!

On a Lenovo-Notebook
a) crash by start
b) With older kernel a hibration phase not possible
c) Cant move to older kernel, why shift in bootmenu not works - thats need long time to resolve this problem with a new installation on a machine with dual boot (and I have not the interesst to lost all my datas), why others not works - thats horror for windows users, they change to linux!

On an other machine:
a) crash by start, with older kernel is possible start
b) Oracle virtual VM box makes only problems - with old kernel 107 is working as a temp resolution

kernel 5.15.0.107 until 117

I need urgend a workarround how I can save in the grub file, that they boot from a selected kernel! Why the shift key is on many machines not working, so as users many many many many many years reported! Why the team can not write about a nice fix, how this can resolve?`
'
When you like to get more and more Windows users, then you must change your strategy!

Regards

Detlef Bracker

Dear,

this working arround change nothing - equal shift key cant been used to
come in the boot menu!
Equal many other users has the same problem many years. So, why not change

resolved until today!

the most are open - I write this here again, why I get the mail back:

a) I had on the notebook this problem not again, but I have change before additional grub settings
b) it's open on lenovo in 117
c) it's open equal in 117 - on office pc - so I must manually start with 107
d) it's open on lenovo in 117

The biggest problems I have on the notebook, why I cant start manually with older kernel about shift is not working when start. How can I change the grub so, that I can equal start with the older kernel version? On every hipernation I lost my datas! Thats cant been! I cant select in the "Aktualisierungsverwaltung" -> Linux-Kernel an older kernel!
