Bug Description

Since the last kernel update to version .28, I've been experiencing extreme flickering in Android Studio and other apps. This prompted me to update most of my software, including Nvidia drivers, which didn't resolve the issue.

Downgrading to the previous kernel version .26 during startup eliminates the issue.

Additionally, there is a lag in the Terminal, which I'm not sure is related, but it also doesn't occur on the previous kernel.

The lag issue is bug 2059847. So we should track the flicker issue here as either a kernel bug or Nvidia driver bug.

affects: xorg (Ubuntu) → linux (Ubuntu)

I've been experimenting with various drivers and seems like I found a workaround by downgrading Nvidia driver to
{NVIDIA-Server-Driver-metapackage-from-nvidia-driver470-server-(proprietary)}
from the driver535
