Bug Description

Ubuntu Jammy (kernel 5.15.0-94) and Ubuntu Noble (kernel 6.8.0-22) installations and Ubuntu Mantic installed hard drive (kernel 6.5.0-28-generic) are unable to find SATA devices on Alder-Lake S Intel SATA controller.

Ubuntu Focal and Bionic works just fine. Debian 12 (kernel 6.1.0-18) and other debian based distros (Mint, Kali, OpenMediaVault, Proxmox) works just fine.

Same problem here, after upgrading from Ubuntu 23.10 to 24.04(6.8.0-31-generic) it stopped working.

Using kernel 6.8.0-31-generic and 6.8.7-x64v3-xanmod2 the same error occurs. I'm using 6.6.28-x64v3-xanmod2 to temporarily solve this problem.

Using: 6.8.0-31-generic

Can we please get an update on this issue? No Alder Lake SATA drives is a big issue, and I know for other kernels this is not an issue, so must be an Ubuntu driven kernel/modules config
