Lenovo Thinkbook 14-IML Elan Touchpad Not working

The touchpad in my laptop, Thinkbook 14-IML is not working. When i run the acidump command the hardware is detected but the touchpad is not working, has anybody faced this issue and if so can anyone tell me how to fix it?
My OS is Ubuntu 23.10
I expected my touchpad to work
It is not working
The hardware is fine as i have tested it with a windows os.
