Got the same issue here on hardy, 2.6.24-21-generic, nVidia Corporation GeForce 7100 GS (rev a1) running driver 173.14.12, RaLink RT2561/RT61 rev B 802.11g

locks up hard, no mouse, no ping... nothing at all.

If I can be of any use please let me know.
