Bug Description

Hi, I was updating my system, running sudo apt update then sudo apt upgrade and there were some errors in the installation. It seems to stem from some post-installation script for linux-image-6.6.0-14-generic and/or linux-headers-6.6.0-14-generic. After the upgrade apt told me that "errors were encountered while processing:" linux-generic, linux-headers-generic, linux-image-6.6.0-14-generic and linux-headers-6.6.0-14-generic. Running dpkg -a --configure does not solve the issue, nor does apt -f install. I've tried reconfiguring with the methods suggested in this thread: https://askubuntu.com/questions/949760/dpkg-warning-files-list-file-for-package-missing and I can manually reconfigure and reinstall linux-generic, linux-headers-generic and linux-image-6.6.0-14-generic, and I can reconfigure linux-headers-6.6.0-14-generic but then when I try to reinstall that package it gives the error "installed linux-headers-6.6.0-14-generic package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 1."

1) What was the previous kernel version that you tried to upgrade from?
2) Can you post the full output of a failed kernel package installation?
3) Do you have any DKMS modules installed? Run 'dkms status' and post the output.

The previous kernel version was 6.5.0-14-generic. The full output, after I remove all the mentioned packages and try to reinstall them, is attached in updateoutput. I do have a dkms module installed, dkms status outputs evdi/1.14.1, 6.5.0-14-generic, x86_64. The output from apt also says to check /var/lib/dkms/evdi/1.14.1/build/make.log for more information. I can't figure out how to attach more than one attachment to a comment so I'll attach make.log in another comment

The issue is apparently with the displaylink-driver and evdi packages provided by Synaptics. Judging by make.log the errors were occurring because the evdi dkms module failed to compile, so I tried running sudo apt remove evdi and then sudo apt install evdi-dkms, which is provided by the noble repository. I was worried my dock wouldn't work right without the displaylink-driver, but it works fine with just the ubuntu provided evdi-dkms.
