Bug Description

Ubuntu 23.10 with Kernel 6.5.0-10-generic x86_64 x86_64
Processor 13th Gen Intel® Core™ i5-13500H × 16

While having an 8BitDo Ultimate Wired Controller connected and checking dmesg I see notices of:

[ 265.056852] input: 8BitDo 8BitDo Ultimate Wired Controller as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.0/usb3/3-3/3-3.2/3-3.2.3/3-3.2.3:1.0/0003:2DC8:3011.0038/input/input81

[ 270.934634] usb 3-3.2.3: SerialNumber: 2102E14AB302

This message is been sent nearly every 1 second, slowing the system down causing micro stuttering.

This only happens while the controller is connected. The controller is connected to a Sabrent USB 2.0 hub, Bus 003 Device 006: ID 14cd:8601 Super Top 4-Port hub. Note that the issue is still present while the controller is connected directly to the Laptop USB port.

I haven't tested with a different Kernel version to determine if only 6.5.0-10 is affected - I was hoping someone with more experience could look at this issue.

Thanks.
