Hi realn,
Can you comment which version of Ubuntu and subsequently which version of the kernel you are using? Is this still and issue with the most recent Hardy Heron 8.04 release? If so, care to confirm this is still an issue with the latest Alpha for the upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 - http://www.ubuntu.com/testing. If the issue still exists for Intrepid, can you please attach the following debugging information:
* cat /proc/version_signature > version.log
* dmesg > dmesg.log
* sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log
