Bug Description

This is cherry pick from a bug fix which was added to kernel 5.17.5.

Bug: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=216035
Commit: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tiwai/sound.git/commit/?id=15dad62f4bdb5dc0f0efde8181d680db9963544c

With Ubuntu 22.05 coming with 5.15.x it would be really nice to have this in as well.

Thanks for all hard work.

This is a single line addition and risk-free. Is there anyway it can be processed quickly. The improvement in sound is like day and night for those affected. Thanks again.

that commit is upstream in 5.15.46 and up, jammy kernel already has changes up to and including 5.15.60, so there's nothing to do

Speakers work with this fix but the sound quality is not as good as compared to that when you have windows on the laptop. It's like they went ahead and switched off the subwoofers on the system.

Any fixes for this?
I have upgraded to Linux Kernel 6.2 but no change at all.
