Multiboot Linux system, chiefly Ubuntu 22.04.

This was the first attempted kernel upgrade on any of the partitions after replacing GRUB with systemd-boot.

The expected behavior was that the kernel would upgrade, although in the course of installing and configuring systemd-boot, I discovered that it does not implement the Boot Loader Specification (see https://askubuntu.com/questions/1414423/systemd-boot-install-failure/1417108?noredirect=1#comment2464947_1417108), so I was not optimistic.

I expect that conforming systemd-boot to the Boot Loader Specification, specifically to observe boot entries consistent therewith and perhaps with other architectural changes related to kernel updates, would resolve this bug.
