Changed in linux (Ubuntu):
status: New → Confirmed
Peter Buck (pbuck) wrote :

Recovered by booting into an older kernel and running

sudo update-initramfs -u -k 5.8.0-25-generic
sudo update-grub

There are still some initialization failures reported at boot but at least the 20.10 boot is successful.
