Hi,
Here's update that broke boot on that Inspiron 15 3000:
Start-Date: 2020-03-22 16:11:26
Commandline: aptdaemon role='role-commit-packages' sender=':1.89'
Install: linux-image-5.3.0-42-generic:amd64 (5.3.0-42.34~18.04.1, automatic), linux-headers-5.3.0-42-generic:amd64 (5.3.0-42.34~18.04.1, autom

ic), linux-modules-5.3.0-42-generic:amd64 (5.3.0-42.34~18.04.1, automatic)
Upgrade: linux-libc-dev:amd64 (4.15.0-88.88, 4.15.0-91.92), grub-common:amd64 (2.02-2ubuntu8.14, 2.02-2ubuntu8.15), libicu60:amd64 (60.2-3ubun

5), skypeforlinux:amd64 (8.57.0.116, 8.58.0.93), apport:amd64 (2.20.9-0ubuntu7.11, 2.20.9-0ubuntu7.12), grub-efi-amd64-bin:amd64 (2.02-2ubuntu

3-problem-report:amd64 (2.20.9-0ubuntu7.11, 2.20.9-0ubuntu7.12)
End-Date: 2020-03-22 16:12:50
Kernel 4.15 works fine though.
None of 5.3.x releases managed to boot - it just hangs on loading initrd.
Tried to reinstall grub, grub-efi; tried running update-grub, grub-insall, reinstalling 5.3 pacakges (from LiveCD), etc, but nothing helped.
Ubuntu is installed on NVME, maybe it gives the problems? |
