Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

Probable duplicate of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1854798

The Synpatics "TM3253-001" is not mentioned in that report, but there are other models mentioned in reports marked duplicate of that report... (I did not check whether TM3253 was mentioned in any of those)

Bug reports aren't for support, for support options please refer to https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/finding-help/709

I believe kernel linux-image-4.15.0-73-generic (currently in proposed) will move to 'main' on January 5, 2020.

For enabling proposed (suggested in comment #13 and others in the bug report 1854798 I believe this is a duplicate of, which will let you use it now) see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Repositories/Ubuntu and https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed

If it solves your issue (best if done before it's live for everyone Jan 5 probably) PLEASE report back here that here it works.

If it doesn't work, then it may be you have a unique situation that may need attention its not getting due likely duplicate. Please report that here too.
