Could you do a suspend, resume (which should fail), and then reboot, then attach /var/log/kern.log to this bug please?

Please also attach results from running:

cat /sys/power/state
cat /sys/power/mem_sleep

$ cat /sys/power/mem_sleep

$ cat /sys/power/state

I also would like to note that I made the following observation after blacklisting the nouveau driver. That the freezing issue happens when selecting nvidia. It is even worse then that. Because if I leave the computer idle, than when it goes to sleep on it own I have the same issue. On the other hand of I use the intel driver I am not freezing, but the computer becomes warm and loose about 7% of the battery per hour on suspend.

This should be fixed in kernel v5.4. Can you please confirm?

When I type sudo pm-suspend. It is freezing

What about using `systemctl suspend`?

Also I can't find any trace of Nvidia in the log.

I switch to ubuntu 20.04 running kernel 5.4.0-17. I have the same issue when closing the lid, using pm-suspend or systemctl suspend.
