Failed to iniciate with kernels: 2.6.24.2-generic / 2.6.24.3-generic / 2.6.24.4-generic / 2.6.24-5-generic

I'm using Ubuntu Hardy i686 on my laptop, and with the following versions of kernel, i have the same error: kernel 2.6.24.2-generic / kernel 2.6.24.3-generic / kernel 2.6.24.4-generic / kernel 2.6.24-5-generic

It starts to load the Ubuntu, and i get the error:

Loading Kernel Modules...

Loading Manual Drivers...

[ some digits here ] BUG: Soft Lockup - CPU#0 Stuck For 11s! [ Events s/0:9 ]

And a have to force to reboot, and enter with the kernel 2.6.22-14-generic .

Can someone give me some help here...

I really need some help here please...

Hi,

First I'm going to reassign to the Hardy kernel package which is "linux". Since your report wasn't assigned, it's been getting overlooked. Would it be possible for you to take a digital photo of your screen when you see the error? It would be helpful for debugging. Also, maybe attach the output of your lspci -vvnn. Thanks.

Hy there, first of all, thank you for your help.

I don't know why, but it seems that my problem it's fixed, now i can chose those kernel's and enter the Ubuntu. ;)

The only problem is that the Windows manager don't start, but that's something that i will try to find out why.

Anyway, i think you can close this one, 'cos i don't have that problem anymore.
