Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v5.0-rc7 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag:
'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as
"Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

Sorry for late reply. I can only test it on a Samsung laptop because
Toshiba laptop is with my in-laws, who live quite far away from me. Is
testing the v5.0-rc7 up to date?

OK. I installed version 5.0. What should I do now to test this? I
worked with a new kernel for 2 days and there was no crash.
