Bug Description
With the recent kernel update yesterday (4.15.0-42), I am encountering complete system freezes related to the Lenovo docking station:
1) When I boot while docked, I get stuck at black screen late in boot sequence (after typing in disk decryption passphrase)
2) If I dock after boot, and undock the system freezes
3) If I dock after boot, and switch to external screen only (Win+P) the system freezes
I am running Ubuntu 18.04 LTS on a Lenovo T460s and I have previously been experiencing the bug reported below on Ubuntu 16.04, which was fixed after reinstalling with Ubuntu 18.04 (and to later kernel versions as described in the issue thread).

It might be likely that this bug was reintroduced in kernel 4.15.0-42.
I have attached kernel log relevant to the system freeze in 3) above.
This is a work computer and I apologies if I cannot be helpful with testing out various kernels for you, but maybe someone else in the community is experiencing similar issues that is able to test kernel patches to fix this issue.
Best regards
Christian
