Bug Description

To reproduce, lock the screen while the laptop is docked. Box will go into some hung state where the only solution is to hard poweroff. Doesn't happen while undocked. Reverting to 4.15.0-43 kernel fixes the problem.

Some kind of similar issue on ThinkPad X250 20CM004EMN. Switching back to 4.15.0-43-generic solved the problem.

Booting with 4.15.0-44-generic on Ultra Dock station gives blank screen on login/display manager. Undocking does not solve the issue so only SysRq+REISUB or hard reboot help. X250 rejects to fall sleep on closed lid or Fn+4 combination. Tried on two different Ultra Dock stations with various monitors, the result is the same.

Booting with 4.15.0-44-generic undocked brings login/display manager as expected. It is possible to dock after that.

I have a similar issue with Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 20HR-002RMX, Lenovo ThinkPad Thunderbolt 3 Dock 40AC0135EU and linux-image-4.15.0-44-generic: The screen(s) go blank on the login screen (at the latest).

No issues with linux-image-4.15.0-43-generic.

Similar issue (same as antti.palsola) on Lenovo ThinkPad T480s, Lenovo ThinkPad Thunderbolt 3 Dock and linux-image-4.15.0-44-generic. External monitors stop working after login in; work flawlessly under Windows 10 and with linux-image-4.15.0-43-generic.
