2008-01-02 22:52:17 Thermaltaker description I have an external usb hdd here (exactly this one: http://fukato.de/download/pdf/fu_dbr_gigacask35_dgb.pdf) wich is running well under windows (I really dont like to say that). But under Ubuntu it isnt working with usb2.0 I have read older entries here and all over the internet, this bug exist until 2004! How can that be? The only way to get this device working is to unload the usbdriver: sudo modprobe -r ehci_hcd and to add a line to the blacklist. I hope it will be fixed soon. I am keen to get Ubuntu running in all companies I work with, but that kind of bugs doesnt really assists.
